Parisi Supporters Make Garden Party a Big Success
Opportunities to bring people together have been scarce amid the pandemic landscape. With the world slowly opening back up, we were able to bring Parisi House on the Hill supporters together again this year for our annual Garden Party fundraiser.
It was a beautiful event held on October 2 at our generous Board Chair Kathy Williams’ home in Saratoga. The food and drinks were delicious, the music and vocalists were delightful, and our picturesque surroundings were lovely. Seeing so many familiar faces – and meeting some new ones that day – was such a treat!
Mike Morganstern entertained us with his accordion music while guests mingled. Then, to kick off our short program, two performers from the Children’s Musical Theater sang. Christy, a Parisi House graduate, shared her struggles with addiction and how she overcame them with the support of our programs. Everyone was inspired by her triumph over drug addiction.
Our guests were very generous during Raise Your Paddle, emceed by Board Member Jaime Chavez and Santa Clara County Supervisor Cindy Chavez. With everyone’s participation, and a generous matching gift from event sponsors Joe and Nikki Parisi, this year’s Garden Party raised $65,500!
We want to thank everyone who was involved in this year’s event – our board members, volunteers, event sponsors and donors – and everyone who came out to show their support. Each person involved played a critical part in making this event as successful as it was. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year.
