Susan Hamlin, LCSW – Board President
Susan Hamlin has been associated with Parisi House on the Hill as a volunteer since 2005. She has served as a clinical supervisor, led patient groups, taught knitting, and moved furniture. In her professional life Mrs. Hamlin is a psychoanalyst who has specialized in treating people with addictions for over 25 years. Mrs. Hamlin is on the faculty of The San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis.

Larri Deane Hirschklau, MA, MLS
LD Hirschklau is retired from her positions at Los Gatos – Saratoga High School District. She served as the Project Director and grant writer for various at-risk programs, two of which became model programs for substance use prevention, reduction and delay of onset. LD directed special education job development programs and, for four years, served as Coordinator of the Nova alternative program.

Stuart Menaker, M.D.
Stuart Menaker, M.D. is a family physician at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation where he has worked since moving to California in 2000. He sees children and adults of all ages in his practice, but especially enjoys caring for families with young children. Dr. Menaker received his medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine in 1987 and a business degree from the University of Southern California in 2002. He lives with his family in Cupertino.

Liza Reynolds, MPH
Liza Reynolds completed her Master’s degree in Public Health-Nutrition from UC Berkeley in 2000. Nearly every year since the age of 13, she has chosen an organization to “adopt,” and this year is honored to be partnered with Parisi House on the Hill. Mrs. Reynolds has served on several advisory committees, performed volunteer work, research, grant-writing and fundraising for community-based programs in the areas of: nutritional wellness, transitional housing for homeless populations, environmental education for children, bilingual mentorship to immigrant families, and counsel for at-risk teenagers. She became the Director of the Linkages Program at Area 12 Agency on Aging in 2001 and decided to begin a family of her own in 2007.

Mary Gardner
Mary Gardener is currently the Project Director for Celebrating Families! and ¡Celebrando Familias!, a curriculum for families who are involved in the drug and family courts in Santa Clara County. Mary was a teacher, a speech and language pathologist and public school administrator for 42 years. She retired after eleven years as Superintendent of Saratoga Union School District and is currently consulting with non-profit organizations and school districts. She has served on five non-profit boards. After one year at Harvard ‘s Graduate School of Education as an instructor and a visiting practitioner, she taught courses in educational leadership at California State University at Hayward and San Jose State University. She has completed doctoral courses at the University of California at Berkeley and has an MA in Education Administration from the University of Redlands. Mary is the co-author of three books on Leadership, including Women’s Ways of Leading.

Kathy Williams
Kathryn Williams is a longtime advocate for women and children. She is a well-known lecturer on domestic violence education and prevention. She speaks regularly to police officers, healthcare professionals, community organizations and students at numerous colleges and universities. Additionally, she developed and implemented a state-mandated domestic violence training sequence for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).
Kathryn has been a Child Advocate since 1997 and has been a member of the Child Advocates’ Board of Directors for the past nine years serving as board chair for three years.
She is a team leader for the Victim Services Unit of the Los Gatos/Monte Sereno Police Department.
Kathryn, and her husband Bruce, own Westminster Promotions located in Sunnyvale and are the parents of four grown children. They reside in Saratoga.

Cherryll Sevy
Cherryll Sevy is President and co-founder of Cypress Ridge Solutions and Insurance Services, Inc., a consulting firm serving client companies in Silicon Valley. For over 20 years, she has been a Human Resources consultant, trainer and speaker. She has a comprehensive practical business perspective and experience to help clients attract, retain and engage their top talent. Prior to consulting, Cherryll held professional and human resource management positions with several high technology companies. She has a BA from UC, Santa Barbara, and MBA from Santa Clara University.
Active in the community, Cherryll formerly served as President of Friends Outside of Santa Clara County, and on the Boards of NAWBO-SV, and Junior Achievement of Santa Clara County.
She is married and the mother of two grown sons. Recognizing the importance of balance in life, Cherryll enjoys running, tennis, golf, travel and cooking.
